To-Do
What has to be done,
with a name and a date on it.
Lists you keep for yourself, lists you share with the people you work with. A to-do carries its steps, its note and its files, a due date that reminds you before it arrives, and — when it was raised by a commessa, a candidate or a customer — the record it came from. My Day is the short list you choose each morning; everything else waits where you put it.
One day's list: what is on it today, what is due, and what arrived from another module.
The list is yours, the day is a choice.
A list holds what you decide it holds, in the order you drag things into. A to-do carries steps to tick off, a free note and its files. Each morning My Day starts empty and you pull into it what you actually mean to do today — your own selection, never a flag other people see on a shared to-do. Planned shows everything with a date on it, Important the handful you starred.
My Day beside the lists it draws from, and Planned behind both.
A date that reminds you, not a date you remember.
A due date is a day or a moment, and the reminder fires ahead of it by the offset you set — in the app and by email, through the notification triggers your company switched on. What slips past its date is said once, on the day, and rearms if you move the date. What repeats is a rule on the to-do itself: tick the current one and the next appears, already dated.
A to-do with its due date, its reminder offset and the recurrence that follows it.
Shared means shared, with who does what written down.
A list is shared with the people who work on it, each as owner, editor or viewer. A to-do is assigned to a person — or to a role, where everyone in it sees the work, one takes it and finishes it, and the others see who did. Comments sit on the to-do and a mention notifies the person named. None of this is a chat: the discussion stays against the thing it is about.
A shared list with its members, and a to-do taken by one of them.
Work raised by another module arrives here.
A commessa, a candidate, a person's document, an approval waiting on somebody, a customer or a deal can raise a to-do, and it keeps the link back to the record that raised it. If you may not see that record the to-do still reads — the source is simply not shown — and if the record is deleted the to-do survives under the name it had. Ready-made checklists apply in one go, or as a sequence where the next step unlocks when the one before it is ticked.

Questions we actually get asked.
- Is this the same as the tasks that were in CRM?
- It is where they live now. Customer, deal and contact tasks moved into To-Do with their due dates and their assignees, and a customer still shows the ones raised against it. One place a task can be, instead of two.
- Is it on the phone?
- Yes, in the shape a phone deserves: today, the ones you starred and all of them, a to-do with its steps, and creating one — and the reminder rings on the device itself, whether or not the app is open. Full lists, sharing and My Day stay on the web.
- Does it reach our calendar?
- One way, if you connect it: a to-do with a due date can appear in your own Google or Microsoft calendar, switched on per user from the calendar settings you already have. Nothing travels back the other way.
- Can we have it today?
- It ships in beta and stays off until you ask: it is switched on per company, and until then nothing about it appears in the product. Ask for it in your quote and we turn it on with you.

There is nothing to prepare. Half an hour on how your company runs — who tracks the hours, how an invoice comes together, when you find out whether a commessa made money — and we tell you which modules would fix it and what a quote looks like.
